Details

-

Following the Rouge River and passing through the heart of Unionville, the Rouge Valley Trail is a favourite among many residents of Markham, Ontario. Although the trail starts just east of Warden Avenue and 16th Avenue, many riders prefer to start on Main Street in Unionville. Parking and washrooms are available as well. There is also a wide variety of stores and restaurants for you to choose from. The cycling and hiking route is fairly flat as it makes its way through the surrounding parks and communities. Eventually, the route ends at Milne Dam Conservation Park, where there are picnic shelters and greenspace for you to enjoy. Seasonal washrooms are available here too. If you would like to go further, the path continues to 14th Avenue and if you connect a few other trails you can make your way to the Rouge Valley National Park.
