The man-made peninsula, aka Leslie Street Spit, is a great place for a family outing to escape the busy city life. It is a popular location to observe various wildlife species as well as get a stunning view of the Toronto skyline and Lake Ontario. Riders have the choice between two pathways to reach the lighthouse at the end. Whichever way you take, either along the water or more inland, both routes have views that are hard to top being so close to the city. Public access to the park is open year round on weekday evenings and throughout the day on weekends and holidays.
