Covering the vast landscape of the Durham Region in Ontario this is a modified route of the “The Rookie”, the shortest variation of the Durham Destroyer held every year in July. Consisting of long gravel roads, trail networks and The Great Trail (Trans Canada Trail) this is a route that will definitely be a leg burner. As the route starts in Port Perry and passes through Uxbridge and Sunderland, each town has all the amenities a rider may need along the way including cafes, pubs and convenience stores. If you really enjoyed this route and are still looking for a challenge be sure to check out “The Full Monty” which is a 300 km gravel ride going up into the Kawartha Lakes region.
